Description

To take this shot, I had to get right up along side of the tree, balance myself, and shoot straight up. I nearly fell over; this tree is TALL!! It's also at least 800 years old, kinda makes you a feel just rather small and unimportant. (But he's a young-un; some of these gentle giants are over 10,000 years old!!) I think everyone should walk in one of these forests to get perspective on life. The nature of how this ecosystem works and how it affects the world is truly astonishing. We are so connected to everything.

That's some tree Marilyn, I sure feel happy knowing nobody can chop it down, not in my lifetime anyhow. Excellent pov, looks like the same pov I had for the escape ladder and the fire engines, really up close and personal. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

There are times when I think I might have been around to watch this thing being planted... LOL It does tell you that nature is kind and gives us all time to grow to our full potential. Great shot.

I'm sitting on top of the world, Just rolling along Just rolling along. I'm quitting the blues of the world, Just singing a song Just singing a song. Wow, this awesome POV somehow seems so familiar to me. Humongous old giant going way back in time immemorial. Makes one feel so minuscule in relation to things. Anyway, splendid textures in this capture, Marilyn! Love this stuff!

What a great POV. In northern California I use to go to the John Muir Woods and see Redwood trees about this old. It sure makes me humble to be surrounded by such history. JDoc
