To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.
Brightest Blessings to you all!
Heather

Thanks to all for stopping by and hope you enjoy your visit.

"I get out my work and have a show for myself before I have it publicly.
I make up my own mind about how good or bad or indifferent it is.
After that the critics can write what they please.
I have already settled it for myself so flattery
and criticism go down the same drain and I am quite free.

Definitely a bad hair day

a really playful image filled with these 2-dimensional vines weaving through your clearly 3-dimensional arches & steps. I love the way they weave over her gown, like the decorative arts of the late 19th C. And that crazy dragon-thing setting her serpentine hair on fire...a great play on myth and on your own lush imagery. Your sky here has a more "children's book" feel than normal, with lush bands of color and clear bright splotches for stars; it would be great in a fairy tale; and I don't know what she's wearing, but that gown's gotta be a nightmare to clean (3 different sets of instructions) and I even love your signature, a kind of tongue-in-cheek calligraphic touch. Lots of fun, and a beautiful airy image. Would be great wall-sized.

Well the little dragon is trying to help out, cook those snakey things, they might be good eating! Love the image, it's pretty much how I feel in the morning, a bit snakey, LOL!
