Description
An expanded view of yesterday's scene, with less zoom. I like the interplay of the perpendicular lines here. I tried making it a black and white image, but it just didn't have the "zing" of the color version. Again, best viewed at full size. You can see the fishermen at the left slightly better and generally see the details better. The thumb crop is from the full resolution image. See if you can find the "No Docking" sign before viewing the larger version, heh heh.
To answer a question posed in my post yesterday, I didn't have to work to get the height, I was on a parallel peir. ;') My 12x zoom came in handy though when composing the photos.
Tropical Storm Fay is effecting us strongly right now, but aside from a lot of rain and stronger than usual winds, she's not such a bad storm (for my local area).

I saw Fay blow in on the weather reports. Tropical storms often do as much damage as hurricanes when they drop tons of rain and stir up tornados. I'm wishing you guys over there all the luck that Fay fizzles fast. I like this shot a bit more than yesterdays. Can't say why other than the composition catches me faster.

Must be late...oh yeah, it is, didn't spot the sign until the zoom ! Interesting variation and watch those skies ! ~Cheers~

Love the calmness!

I think i might have prefered it in b&w for the reason that you were going for the interplay of lines and black and white would have brought that out... if you are worried about contrasts etc not giving it a punch, dodge and burn are your friend ;) Might have cropped out the right shoreline too to avoid the distraction and give it a more pano crop (for punch) which would mean you were going "whole hog" with the linear/geometric idea behind the photo. Great scene anyway and well done on getting the geometry right, i know it is difficult sometimes :)

Great reflectivity, along with everything else, in this perfectly horizontal vista! But I don't see no "No Docking" sign in the pic! (Triple negative in that sentence).

The water looks so inviting here and I'm glad the storm hasn't been too bad for you. It made our news down here last night and there looked to be a lot of damage so glad you just got wet.
