Description

We like to eat a lot of Dungeness crab around here, and alot of people like to go out and drop crab pots. Here's a little boat with several nice sized crab pots just waiting. This was taking off the Olga Dock, on the oppose side of the island then the Heron in flight.

Thanks for stopping by, and for all the encouraging comments and a big Thank you to all who favorite me and my work:0)bonita

It looks so tranquil, the boat suspended in air almost, somehow being connected to the the buoy to the left. Excellent reflections.

We used to go down to one of the piers at the end of Main Street and drop a string with a piece of bacon knotted on the end. Most of the kids around would do this, fill a bucket up with crabs (only an hour or so required) and then take them to the local restaurant and sell them. Good for pocket change since they only brought about 25 cents a piece - if that. :-) This is a very nice, calm shot and I gotta wonder where the owner of the boat is off to? :-)

My neighbor has two weeks off work ... I'm hoping he goes out crabbing. If he gets a good haul, there's bound to be free crab in my future! :) I love this shot. I can hear how quiet it is there.

Wow, the boat's sitting on glass! Awesomely caught! But where's the guy who mans the oars? Under the boat? In the water keeping a close eye on his crab pots?
