Description

Welcome to the Japanese Garden at the Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle! My friend Allison and I went to the Arboretum on Saturday and braved the heat for as long as we could, in order to take pictures of this beautiful place. I'm not sure of the temperature, but it must have been in the mid-80s. (About 29, for those of you who measure in C instead of F.) Too darned hot, in any event! But I got a lot of shots I'm happy with, and I'm gonna make you look at all of 'em. :) This is the entrance to the Japanese garden.

All my shots there were taken in the rain, so it will be nice to see yours in the opposite weather! This is really nice, the textures of the wood and the composition of the shapes; it was covered with teenagers leaning on it when I was there, so I didn't get any good ones of this part!

Mid 80's ?! ....good lord, lemme grab my sweater ! LOL ....try upper 90's with triple digit heat index....I think I'd kill for the 80's right about now....of course, with the "hurricane" coming it's been a bit cooler, haha OK, I'm digressing....this is a very intriguing start and I'm looking forward to the series....and you don't even have to make me look :o)

I have to agree with Art Ramos on this one Tara, he sums it up nicely with The Eagles song. An intriguing shot, and also tempting, an invitation to explore further, a glimpse of what lays beyond can be seen through the slats. The brightness outside enticing you to leave behind this darkness and enter into the sunlight. I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow now, to find out where this door leeds to. An excellent image that just leaves you suspended, frozen in time, waiting for the next image in the series. Tantalizing. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!! You're a tease really Tara May. Lol #;0)

Wimp! Saturday was the third consecutive day over 100 here. Then two days later it was 60 and raining. What a screwy summer. Oh yeah, the picture. All those wood textures are great, and I really like the dark to light gradient from bottom to top.
