Description

Hello all.... Been a little while since my last image. I've been modeling a lot of trees (in Silo) and trying to push the designs ever closer to something that seems organic and yet fantastic. So far I think this one is the best. Most of the small plants I created using photos I've taken (mostly hosta leaves but I hoped to make them seem a little other-worldly at the same time....). There's a couple of xfroggies as well but not as many as usual. Hope you like it!

That is one believable tree, Frank! Really love those roots. And the background is equally fantastic. Think you succeeded in your intent and that this is absolutely one of your best efforts. Definitely will add it to "muh favs!"

This is just TOO cool! I love the whole, but in particular.. your hosta inspired leaves, and that fantastic root system. I kept looking at it and thinking how fun, if you were a kid, to crawl under there and have your own little secret place.

You've put a lot of work into this and it shows! I love the root and branch systems of this tree, and the distinctly "alien" quality of the whole scene. Everything is so subtle, and perfectly done and this image rewards multiple viewings easily! Great work!
