Description

There is quite a large island in the Thames between the two bridges. Fry's Island. It houses two boat hire companies, two private residences and a bowls club. This is a shot from the downstream end looking back up the Caversham side of the island. In reality, this channel is just as busy as the main stream but on this occasion, it looked so sleepy and peaceful that I just couldn't resist attributing it as a sleepy backwater. :-) Thanks for looking and for all the nice comments I've had on my previous offerings. ------------------------------- Original Photograph 11-Aug-2008

Glad to see you are still getting excellent shots from the Konica Kev. I miss my old one. Nice cloud definition and absolutly nothing is washed out. Perfect.
