Description

AlooooooHa! It's 5:45am and the magical 15 minute window is gone like the smoke from the plume. I pulled back on my lens to try to capture the immensity of the plume. Now you can see what has been happening behind the scenes all night. Without darkness the plume is rather intimidating. Gone are the nice little fireworks I've been enjoying all night. Now the plume takes on the look of a fire breathing monster. I had a talk with the two gentlemen in the foreground as they were headed back to the car that morning. According to them the plume size is 1/4 the size it was a month ago. So figures I would get there late...ah, well, I'm happy with what I got. I hope you have been enjoying this little adventure with me and are not too bored with shot after shot of pretty much the same view. With daylight pretty much here, gone are the cute little firework images. But Madam Pele has much more in store for me. As with all my images, viewing bigger brings out the detail. Just a footnote...when uploading images be sure to check each box required. I forgot the "content advisory" box. When I hit backspace to correct this, every box was empty...Aaaarrrgh!! It's Fri. all~ Enjoy the weekend and get some killer shots! Aloha~

I am glad you got so many great shots. It is not often people can go to a live eruption. Most people run in the other direction..... Wonderful and powerful shot. Aloha

Wow! You capture this one Spot On! It looks really intimidating and menacing and believe me its everything what you see. I could hear the sounds of fast evaporation at times and it just gave me chills. Outstanding job. Aloha

You & Errol are so brave to endure the danger to get these fabulous shots!!! Simply amazing, luckily you both have good zoom lens's, we wouldn't want you to get in harms way!!! The power of mother nature is a humbling thing to witness and you've captured her fire breathing perfectly!!!!! A truly awesome sight to behold!!! Incredible catch!!!!! Aloha... ;-)

You know, if I didn't know what this was, I might've thought it was a christmas tree covered in snow....Awesome image, once again, Na'e. I love how you've also brought out the texture in the smoke... it looks so fluffy and yet ominous all at the same time. I gotta say it again, I'm really enjoying this series.... Okay now I'm goona have a wee peekie at what you've uploaded today. See ya there, lol. -M :^)
