Description
While the family arguments of lava vs ocean goes on and on here, another one of bigger and larger scale is happening just beyond the girls. But for now, I'd like to stay in a safer zone and watch the cooling off period between two sisters. In Hawaiian legends, Namakaokahai the ocean goddess is the older sister of the fire goddess Pele. They were always fighting each other. And yes......the woman will always win. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Wow, and it's intense, even though a photo!! I can't imagine the real thing as close as this. ;c) I used to have a large piece of lava in my rock collection. I can't find the thing, but even as a rock it is quite fascinating to own a piece of lava. Excellent capture! I hope you stay safe!
