Description

Its a good thing for zoom lens or it would be pretty difficult to get a close up of lava and the sea. The cliff that I'm standing on curves outwards and makes it viewable of the girls and lava a little better. I'm not standing on the edge of the cliff as I'm not to kewl with heights. There were two guys just behind of me sitting down. Well I asked them if they wouldn't mind if I took pictures from where they were sitting. They were very polite and said no problem. Thanks to them for allowing me to capture these pictures. A few more of this area and I'm off to another walk and a peek into the danger area. Aloha and thank you for viewing

This has some wonderful contrast--at first I thought it was just a little tiny drop of lava,then I saw how far down the water was!!!

Another awesome shot! I've seen plenty of the cooled rock, and my brain can't make the leap from thick red flowing stuff to spongy rock.

Wonderful shot, I was wondering all this time how close your were, etc. Thanks for the info. You can really see the "oozing" of the lava in this shot, wonderful sense of action, I expect it to move any second now.
