Description

Here I am, back again after a month's break, even a little longer maybe, and some more photos to post, renovation works at home, lots of cups of tea while reading and playing music, a two-week trip to Iceland, and above all, the same happiness of re-discovering the versatile beauty of this fabulous country under the Arctic circle, with its vast deserts, deep canyons, ominous lava fields and immense glaciers accessible at sea-level and the special Icelandic mind of its inhabitants whom I met on several occasions, with great joy.

This photo was taken in the little harbour of Arnarstapi (Iceland) at the feet of the Snæfellsjökull, the mythical glacier where Jules Verne set the departure of his 'Journey to the Center of the Earth' novel and an important earth energy focal point according to Tibetan buddhists. Full west, at the very end of Europe...

Sorry for ceasing to comment in my friends' galeries, I will resume doing it little by little as my reburfishing works are slowly ending here, but I will. Looking forward to enjoying all the beautiful images and compos you've uploaded while I was away...Have a nice week-end and many many thanks for your words of support.

Oh, this is sooooo beautiful! Iceland holds a special place in my heart, and will forever be top of the list of places I want to go...I saw a film about the group Sigur Ross that was filmed in little towns in Iceland, with some of the most incredible scenery I could ever imagine. I look forward to your other "holiday snaps", and welcome back!

This is a captivating picture, and much enhanced by your background facts. I love this isolated house in a valley image, with teh mountains behind and can see it in winter in my mind. Excellent!
