Description
It was a lone hunter droid that first discovered Adira,quite by accident.Having awakened at the first light of dawn and clambered down from her treetop perch,Adira had backtracked and then cut across country in her quest to return to the landing site,her instincts and military training leading her to throw any would-be trackers off her trail.This,however,eventually put her in a predicament,as she soon found herself at the bank of a large river.At this time of year the water level was low,essentially leaving a large expanse of rocky riverbed with very little vegetation.She had no choice but to cross,or else go back the way she came.Fighting the voices in her head telling her to retreat she began the trek into the clearing,eyes trained to the distant cover of jungle...searching for any sign of movement or glint of metallic weaponry,anything that would betray an ambush.
The attack,however,came from above!No more than half-way across the flat terrain,Adira heard the low hum of engines and the distintive sounds of moving gears.Above and behind her the hunter droid banked and dipped,beginning a smooth arc of descent directly at her.There was nowhere for her to hide!

Great action and movement going on here, Neil. You can actually sense her running and then turning to fire her weapon at the droid. Super use of special f/x on the render, as well.

Great composition (as always). It seems an image from the classics of sci-fi. The only thing that really disturbs me is her baldness. I also like the sense of movement and dynamism of the image. Good job!

Cool! Not bad... I've always hated the "Look over the shoulder while you run away.." And the torque of her body seems to be slightly exaggerated, other than that, the pose is great. Like the outfit. Over all scene is good, I might have had the character rushing towards the screen tilted forward face to the front so you can see the eyes clearly and having the eyes glancing to the side, with the head tilted very slightly... Great work as usual Maybe one of these days I'll stop criticizing your work and do some of my own! lol
