Description

A break from my on-going series to create a couple of scifi landscapes while I work on the storyline.This one shows a ship flying across a desert planet,while huge dust tornados whirl about the surface(larger versions of those you might see on a hot summer's day)The ship is from my previous post"Threading the Needles" which is the featured image this week on the SciFi Weekly website.All items created in Bryce6.1 with minor postwork correction in Photoshop(and sig).Terrain texture and some ship textures are from cgtextures.com Thanks for viewing and previous comments!This one's for you evs69!

The whirlwind effects are great, Neil. And the addition of the ship gives a real sense of scale to the render. Kudos for having another SciFi Weekly featured image.

Fantastic! It's a great landscape, but those twisters are the highlight - very nice work indeed! If I was exploring an alien landscape like this I would stay WELL away from them (assuming my flying is like my driving)! ;) Many thanks for the dedication Neil I'm honoured - and such a great image! Great work Neil The tornado's are absolutely awesome! I love them! The rest of the image seems a little grainy though, but I'm assuming it was the look you were going for since there would probably be a lot of sand floating through the air on this planet.
