Description

Tropical storm hit with a fierceness and lasted from Monday to Saturday....Tuesday was the worst day...Fay had 80MPH gusts...She dumped tornadoes on us....Heard several day and night...loud rumble with a jet engine sounds...heard it over my house and it went over and dropped 2 blocks up from me and tore the roof off of the Shell station and flipped over a van that was traveling down the road.....Fay dumped rain ohhhhh how she did...last I heard we got about 20 inches....standing water everywhere sooo mosquitoes can pick you up and eat you alive!.....But came out with no damage to person or home...(except frayed nerves)and Fay left us with this lil rainbow smile tucked up between her feeder bands.

Gorgeous capture, is it a fair trade? I don't think I'd like all the extra standing water, the humidity must be fierce. Glad you made it through to the other side!

I also heard that besides mosquitos the gator were looking for dry land finding humans in their search. :-) This is a gorgeous shot. The color bands are really dazzling.

Great commentary on what I would have otherwise thought was a natural disaster. You REALLY have a knack for seeing the bright side! Way to go Geo - I'm glad your roots go deep!
