Description

Rudbeckia No I didn't know what it was either. So off we go to the garden centre but not to buy plants.Being somewhat bored with the run of the mill flowers we English seem to fill the summer garden with we spied this.Rather an interesting plant with roughish leaves but the flower come out in a variety of colours from gold...ish to a sort of burgundy and a brownish colour. So you get the idea that botany isn't a subject of mine but I just love this plant and thought it would also make a good photographic image. And they last for ages in the house! I grow half a dozen sorts each year from seed, can't recommend them highly enough! A beautiful portrait of them.

An exquistist shot of these beauties. I love the velvet appearance in the petals and the pairing with the smaller to the front.
