Description

Hiya again. :^) Well, it's almost that time again. This year Meg starts 11th grade! She's getting sooo old! ( I know. I said she is, and not me, lol. Hush now. ) About this pic: Last week Meg ordered some school clothes from Urban Outfitters,( her favorite store )and she was sooooo excited when she got them, she asked if we could do a photo shoot. Well you don't have to ask me twice, lol, so we promptly went into the yard and took a few shots. I'm happy to say we're both quite pleased with how they came out, so I thought I might share a couple with you, guys. I hope you like it. Thanks for taking the time to look and for any comments you may care to leave. Oh and best viewed full-size. This is larger than my usual upload... See ya! Moi :^) PS Before you say it, Ray, I know this is neither a pic of California nor a pic of a seal, lol. I will one of these days...probably. ;^D

Wonderful image! Very well done in b/w, and what a serious and intense look on her face! Beautiful eyes, a lovely young lady, and a cute outfit. :) Nicely done.

it's a very penetrating portrait, you show real complexity and depth in your daughter, the real-world mix of presence and privacy and thought and mystery that fills all of us (we hope) and looks so real and present at that age. The b&w is perfect for the capture, the lights being so expressive; and you captured an intensity in her eyes that's quite powerful after a second or two. It's a portrait of an inner person as much as an outer, quite inviting and yet very self-contained, and ultimately very human.
