Description

I submitted this image for a contest at DeviantArt (my first image there), contest run by a woman in celebration of her upcoming 7th year as a breast cancer survivor. I jumped at the opportunity to make my own contribution in raising awareness to breast cancer and as my own personal celebration gesture. You see, I was diagnosed myself January this year and I didn't make it public as I didn't want anyonne to think of me as possibly dying as is often the case or used to be when we talk about cancer. I needed all positive thoughts for my first surgery :) I'm ok now. I caught it at an earlier stage, before it might spread and we could even call it cancer. At least as far as the doctors are concerned. It was another story for me lol I am lucky and very grateful and it became important to me that I would be the bearer of good news, better news, after both surgeries and treatments were behind me. Thanks to advancement in medicine and I have to say, to women who came before me, I am part of the 70% of women who now make it through and survive and in my case, intact with only two relatively small scars to show for it, now that the effects of radiotherapy have mostly faded. My new slogan now is "get a mammo" lol Thank you for you constant support and as you can see, it did slow me down in the last 7 months and I may not have commented as much as I used to and may never again, although I make every effort to comment as much as I can. And now that my energy is getting back in the past week or so, I'm also catching up for lost time and taking care of things and going out more in real life. Another stunner!!! Love to see You continuing the "Mucha-Style" :) Am so glad You did it! My congrats and I hope You really won the fight! Oh- and a tip for great Artdeco-styled hair: look the freestuff of ktaylor / mylochka. There is "Lady Jane" for V3. With netherworks fitting magnets it's easy to get it for V4! small PW is nessecary, because of the P4 transmap, but I still love to use this hair because it's the most convincing vintage hair I have seen for this time. ;)

Superbe image pleine de douceur et de sérieux. L'expression exprime pleinement la résolution et le courage face à l'adversité. J'extrapole peut-être un peu lol Le cancer est une maladie dont on peut guérir aujourd'hui. Et c'est magnifique !
