Description
Heritage flight in the air over Kansas City, August 2008. P-51 Mustang flying fast...F-15 flying slow.
My daughter's initial reaction, "Dad, is that Photoshopped already?" (asking...did I insert one of these planes in the photo)
My response, "Nope, other than some re-sizing and sharpening, that's right out of the camera."
If you hear of an airshow near where you live, give this sort of photography a try. You'll like it. But bring a telephoto lens of some sort and be prepared to shoot in a high resolution mode.
So far, this has been all Army Air Corps/Air Force. Will add some hot Naval Aviation birds in the next few days to keep things "Fair and Balanced". Bill

Great shot Bill , how very dare your daughter suggest her Dad has "doctored" a photo lol! We have the Jersey International Air Display on 11 September. It's always excellent with the Red Arrows ending the show with their acrobatic display.

Excellent shot. I love these flights. Was there a third plane in the Heritage Flight? There were 3 in the Oshkosh Wi. version. Looking forward to the rest of these!

American aircraft are pretty cool. I'd love to go to an airshow once, but those things are too noisy for me.
