Description

Of all the vintage diesel-electrics produced in the mid 20th Century, perhaps the most easily recognizable were those fabricated by the American Locomotive Company (Alco). The road-switcher series, or the RS locomotives, began a new era in diesel-electric traction. A single design could address the needs of yard switching and long-distance road hauling of both freight and passengers. The engineer’s cab, raised above the carbody, improved visibility and gave these locomotives their distinctive look. The Alco on the turntable is loosely modeled after the RS-2s and RS-3s. The remaining locomotives are rough depictions of Electro-Motive Division (EMD) SWs, GPs and SDs. All models are either Wings3d or Bryce 5 originals. Post work in PSP8. Thanks for lookin’!

Ah, the look of your roundhouse and the distant skyline has memories of the Baltimore, MD restored train museum. Stunning lighting you have used, as well.
