Description

I went to one of my favorite haunts yesterday to check out the butterfly and dragonfly population. Haven't been there in a couple of weeks, the usual skipper butterflies were plentiful but I was looking for something with color. I took up a strategic location and waited to see what might happen by. My wait was short as a Hummingbird came to the some flowers close by to eat. As suddenly as the first one came a second one showed up to protect the territory. At that point my priorities changed, the butterflies and dragonflies took a back seat and the hummingbirds became the target. I was able to get several shots of them before they decided to depart to parts unknown. Oh well, there was still the butterflies and dragonflies, at least until the light was lost behind the trees.
