Description

As I was following the dew covered dragonfly that I posted earlier, I kept seeing something out of the corner of my eye. Yet, when I looked, there seemed to be nothing there. Then I would see another movement, but again it would disappear. It turned out to be one of these fellows, so very tiny, only an inch or so long, and nearly transparent and invisible from any distance at all. It was like seeing just a spirit or ghost of a creature rather than the real thing. Delicate and shy, it took quite a while to get close enough. A very beautiful shot of the Damsell fly Maria, your title is great, and the thought that it resembled a ghost is quite right, the delicate transparency of this creature is astounding, truly nice work.

Love the title and the whole photo has a ghostly feel. I love the face it reminds me of Casper the Friendly Ghost.

Jaw dropping especially since I know how it is to find this in the view finder and then bring in any sort of focus! This really is amazing quality and the soft colors really make the pearly glow of the damsel stand out.
