Description
I did a lot of fence sitting about whether or not to post this one, but decided to anyway :-p
I took this as we were walking across from one end of the mine dump to the other.
The sun and clouds were beautiful that day - I just couldn't resist!!
About halfway across, I was informed that what we were walking on was originally sludge. LOVELY!! Needless to say I was pretty freaked by this tidbit of information! Ironically at that point, the ground actually got muddy too, freaking me out even more!!! I kept imagining us all getting sucked into some revolting mudhole in the middle of the mine dump (yes, far too vivid an imagination!!!!)!

Having looked into this over the past few days, I've come to realise that the cost of gold is far more than just monetary.

when I was around 14 a friend and myself were out exploring the woods and I seen what I thought to be a dry pond.well it was a sludge reservoir for an oil pump.my leg went to my knee and with some dumb luck, I had the presence of mind to fall back and caught myself on the bank.I then had to go down to the creek and wash my pants and shoes of waste petroleum.luckily it came out the silhouette of the people ahead of you looks like a scene from the movie "Living Dead".very eerir. the sky is awesome
