Description

To every thing a little rain must fall. Then why does it feel like we are having thunders storms sometimes? Mostly this is due to how we perceive our world. And that tone of perception is set by us each morning when we get up. Perception... it is truly an interesting thing and the most difficult thing to understand... especially if we are looking out of dirty windows. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. (so who in the heck is They? LOL) Every day we move through our world and respond to the "outside" based upon how we feel. Our feelings are what sometimes cloud our vision. Darn those feelings and emotions. Why do they have to hang around? The good news is that they make us who we are. The irritating news is that they get in the way every now and then... well, at least we think they do. How we see our world is an inside job. That place within is the only place that we have where we can truly be who we are. So today... just for today... let us live our lives from the inside out. Let us take time to clear out the old and bring in the new and lastly... let us clean those windows so that we see our lives as they truly is. We are unique... we are one of a kind. In all of the world there is no one like us and because of that, we have a unique outlook on our life. So let us get rid of the mental clutter... let us sweep out the old thought webs. Let us clear out the thoughts that have served their purpose and make way for a new beginning. Today we are free... free to release what does not serve us. Today we energized... energized into taking action for a new beginning. Today we are and because of that, we are free... free to choose... free to grow... free to live the life that we know we can have. Wow! Isn't it amazing how great we are? How divine. How simply divine. Our thought for the day is: 'What I think and feel matters. So why is it so hard for me to listen?' Gayle O May your day flow easily and effortlessly and may you live your life this day as you know it can be. © Gayle O This is a single flame created in Apophysis 3D Hack. Some of the variations used in this flame are the linear3D, spherical, spiral, bubble, scry, and foci. Post work was done in PSP. Reminds me when I was a kid. I had an old wall mirror that had become warped over time. Looking at your reflection you would see a distorted image of yourself. I found it actually affected the way I felt about myself. After a while, looking in the mirror and seeing only my distorted image made me feel self conscious and I begin imagining I looked that way. I knew that was not the case, but it still effect me on a subconscious level. It took me a long time to get to where I could look in any mirror and not see a distorted image of myself, even after that old mirror was replaced. It is strange the way the mind works, it locks on to a point of view as if it is written in stone and does not allow for the fact that so often how a think looks depends on where we happen to be standing, or else if what we are looking at is a true image or a distorted one. So many see only the distorted images around them, and not the true ones.

I see joyous faces in this stunning artwork, and red hearts and even a smile on an ornament. And, as always, your words bring another kind of joy that is seen and felt from the inside. CC

Ah yes, perceptions. How they color our world, and how we see ourselves. Beautiful spoken of, and beautifully illustrated!

Well done ... it was William Blake who wrote: "If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern." Huxley, during his tripping days, picked up on that as did "The Doors" of sixties fame. Excellent work Gayle.
