Description

I have a question for you this day. How heavy is your bag? You appear to look puzzled about this question. We all carry around old baggage from our past. The heavier it is, the more tired we feel. So here is a creative visualization for you to try this day. Look at your self in the mirror... imagine yourself holding a bag filled with old worries and doubt. Each one is tucked away and packed in a beautiful parcel that is wrapped in bright colored paper and tied with a colorful ribbon. Fill your bag up really full... it is as large as Santa's sack. Now imagine that you are lifting the bag up and throwing it over your shoulder. Does it feel heavy? Is it making you slump slightly? Next imagine that you are taking those old worries and doubts out of your bag one at a time... they are beautifully wrapped. Open the ribbon on your package and notice that there is a little poof sound. That is the contents of your package evaporating into thin air. Take out a few more packages and open them. Now your bag should feel lighter... pick it up and toss it over your shoulder again. Do you still feel the weight of the bag? Put the bag down again on the floor. Now take out more packages and open them up. As you open each package, the contents disappears into thin air along with the package. This is you allowing yourself to release that which no longer serves you. Keep doing this until you know your bag is empty. Now pick up your bag and toss it over your shoulder. It's as light as a feather now, isn't it? Try this exercise a few times and you will be amazed at how much lighter and more energized you will feel. How divine. How simply divine. Our thought for the day is: 'The place you are in needs you today.' Quote by Katherine Logan I wish you a day of sunshine and rainbows and may there always be peace in your valley of life. © Gayle O This is a single flame created in Apophysis 3D Hack. Some of the variations used in this flame are the linear3D, spherical, spiral, bubble, scry, and foci. Post work was done in PSP. Thank you for stopping by to share a moment of time with me and for viewing my art. Thank you for your comments on this image and my previous images. Each one is like a precious jewel and will always be treasured. I send a most heart felt thank you to those of you who have favored me as an artist or have favored one of my images. Your visits to my gallery mean a lot to me. They make my world a little brighter and bring rainbows to my valley of life. May your days float gently upon the breeze of the universe and may that gentleness bring you joy. Namaste.

Beautiful. Brought to mind a nautalus, but one emitting light. As far as my "bag" goes...Mine is extemely heavy. I can't unload it because, like an albatros, it's tied around my neck to constantly remind me of my past mistakes and losses. I do what I can to ignore it, but in some ways it's good to be reminded that it's there.

My dear dear friend.....I discarded "my bag" long ago. Each day is an new adventure for me, and it is unencumbered by any stories of what was. Being close to the "open door" let's me stay in the moment. When there was lots of time........I had some baggage. But being that the train is going to leave the station in the near futrue.........I travel lightly......much peace to you my friend.......the journey is awesome.......just take the ride.....Geno

Simply gorgeous. A wonderful design! By the way, can I use it to cheer up my bag... it is large and grey and I will try the mirror thing... but gluing this image to the side would at least cheer it up a bit.

LOL, what a wonderful analogy! And what a terrific exercise to get rid of all that excess baggage, no matter how beautifully wrapped, and how much care we've taken in carrying it around! Beautiful image to go with the wonderful words!

It would be too easy and beautiful to disappear so all the painful memories that us bring behind! Unfortunately, they remain anchored on our shoulders ... but sometimes is just a smile and good word of a friend, to forget for a moment all the sorrows... then we feel slight as feathers! A great work as always! :)

A lovely fractal Gayle. It hasnt always been easy to remove that baggage but since I have had my kidney transplant 5 months ago, I have had much time to reflect and look at what is actually important. I have removed as many negative influences as I am able and feel uplifted and looking to the future with wide eyes and a more than open mind. xx
