Description

No, not so ancient. Along the Malecon (boardwalk) in Puerto Vallarta, there are sand sculptures of all kinds of things. At Christmas, Santa is there, Easter brings more religious scenes, and there is always an image of the Virgen de Guadalupe, patron saint of the Americas. This is just a pyramid, but I love the lines and the rocks and bit of water in the background.

The mind can travel in intellectual pursuit of civilization. How odd my joke that this year Palin-tology will be questioned. (Paleontology to those who insist always on realism and grind the humor to a nub.)

I agree, if you took out the background it could be the real thing, and no one would know the difference. Excellent capture!

I have to agree with all the above Marilyn, if you had got down in commando crawl and shot from that level, it could have come from deepest Amazon, a wonderful Inca Temple. Excellent capture, and I love the background as well. Bravo!!!!!

Wow, you coulda fooled me! I thought it was a photo of the real thing taken from an aircraft. Superb clarity and beautiful beige/orange/reddish colors permeate this scene. And to think Aztecs used to sacrifice virgins on top of that structure.
