Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Were you flying low over the Amazon forest when you spotted this creation? A temple to the Sun God no doubt. I just hope nobody had to bail out of the aircraft, it's hell trying to get out of that jungle. Excellent piece of postwork my dear; it looks the real deal. Bravo!!!!!

Superb! Now it looks edible, like sponge cake....or is it just that I'm hungry?

Looks almost like it's held together with resin.

Love the color and texture...

Good light and shadow, Marilyn. Up close, other than the orange color, it looks like the foam packing you find around electronic devices. Really exquisite and accurate work.

this is stunning but I don't know if I like it better than the original. Something about the layers in that one caught my attention.
