Description

Hello I just had to have some macros of these gorgeous flowers too. :) FULL SCREEN IS BEST. Thanks for stopping by and for your kind commends to my previous post. Special thanks to those who added it to their favs. Have a splendid day. We have such a gorgeous Autumn weather and no wind. My deepest sympathy goes to those who had a hurricane over their homes. My best hopes for you.

I second your thoughts for the hurricane victims. May no one be hurt this time... Helle, your macros make flowers feel like big cushions, and once again we feel the amazing variety of detail in a single flower. It's in how the hairs & bristles morph as we go up them, and all the different furrows along the way. The centers are amazing too, and honestly? The female side could almost pass for soft-porn! (Did you look at that thing? I mean it should put on a robe!) And, as you do in some other shots, you caught water drops clinging, and they're beautiful. Another wonderful macro from you, and another grateful viewer too. If that much goes in in a single flower, it should rent out space to the public: It looks like a great place to rest...

The lighting is wonderful on these and really helps bring out the small details. I always look carefully to see how many squash blooms are male and how many female since that tells me about how many squash I can look forward to each week. :-)

Superb, Helle! This reminds me of quite a funny story. Years ago I had a very straight-laced male friend who happened to visit whilst I was pollinating some plants in this family by picking the male flowers and dibbling them into the female ones. He was absolutely DISGUSTED and it was months before he dared to visit again!!

ROFLMAO!!! Andrea! What a super fummy story :))) LOL!!! Mark. You have mentioned this "Soft Porn" before, in connection to my flower macros. Now I cannot help thinking of you, every time I post a flower macro shot. And I think I maybe should put a warning of nudity on it. XD

The two distinct patterns of male and female that repeat in all of creation are clearly visible in your fabulous macro. Today, this is special for me. Thanks for sharing this, Helle.
