Description

While it obviously wasn't shot by me, the camera was mine! This is me, today at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. The scale armor is entirely my own creation, all hand-cut leather that was embossed by hand (with a stamp I created, however) and then stained, and wax-hardened to make it strong enough to stop a sword. (Yes, it really will do that, too) I've posted pictures of this costume before, but since I've not yet finished the new costume, this will have to do. It did, however, win the costume contest that day, Huzzah!

Excellent! You must have spent an awful lot of time designing this costume, and it was natural you should get the prize on that day!

Huzzah!!! Hey, congratulations! This is entirely awesome. I've been sitting here, studying the overlap and the overall design, the stamping, the finish. It's so beautiful. And it's beyond cool to actually get to SEE you! Thanks for sharing this, and I hope you had a blast today. Now, tell me you didn't forget to bring me a ringlet of flowers with all those flowing ribbons for me hair..lol. :)
