Morning all :o). Of the two butterflies i`ve managed to capture this year (this is the second) ,this is the one i like the best .Andrea will put a name to it as i`m not sure :o)..This shot was taken in a churchyard in Saltburn whilst out with David (Fred255)the other week . What a fantastic macro, Mick!!! It must be one of your best yet! I think it is a Green veined White. it says in the book that it is one of the more variable of our butterflies, which can range from almost pure white with no black spots, to dusky buff heavily dusted with grey. The Large White and the Small White both have a yellowish rear underwing.

Great title mate, I have seen two butterflies this yaer in London, one small blue, and a cabage white, guess those developers are ruining the place, after all, there aint much nectar in bricks and mortar eh?

Superb macro Mick, Zoom is a must for this, love Alans description of the eye a good analogy I think. Mind you half a golf ball isn't much use. Lol. Excellent clarity and detail. Bravo!!!!! Less than a week now!
