Description

while I was feeding my dogs, I seen this Checkered Setwing - Dythemis fugax(I think) male(maybe) dragonfly land.I grabbed my camera and started shooting.it flew away 3-4 times but I waited and sure enough it would fly back. I was on my roof last night again for the sunset, and it was strange.I will post one soon I dedicate this to leeco for all the awesome bug critters he shares thanks for viewing and any comments

This is an amazing specimen! I have not seen these patterns around here and the colors are fabulous. I love the clarity and I must say, you have done a fabulous job with this.

Excellent clarity and detail Richard, the eye is spot on. Dragonflies have wonderful wing structure to my mind, where they join to the body it's almost like mechanical engineering. Zoom is a must to view this image fully. Superb capture. Bravo!!!!!
