Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Those who build levees must now avoid the dragon's breath. Similarly those who predict storm tracks to limit the powers of evil happenstance. A modern hazzard almost unknown to antiquity. Can't wait to hear the lyrics of the songs. Want me to suggest one? "Overtopping the levee on a category 3 predicted path." sung to the tune of the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. I had a Gordon Lightfoot tape I was listening the only time I was with a lady in Northern California.

A beautiful carpet of heathers Marilyn, I don't think I have ever seen one like that rich magenta in the top right before. Ours are whites and purples for the most, Pauline has a couple in her rockery, but only small ones. Excellent capture, such vibrant colours. Bravo!!!!!

Hell bent for leather to weather the heather. Or, imagine being a feather lost in the heather. Or, let's all enjoy the heather, whatsoever, together! Fine clarity, blending of colors and lighting in this huge bouquet, Marilyn! And, I hope you can understand the whys and wherefores of tallpindo's logic.
