Looks like they've lost something and they're all looking for it. There's some SHADOWS in this pic, a little ray of sun, good grief! We've had the same with rain, and today my brother's collie/lab cross comes for a fortnights' stay: perpetual motion for the forseeable future! there will be no lawn left.

Four swans....Three Ducks....and a partridge in a pear tree :)...I have to agree with Andrea, there is a wee ray of sunshine there, this weather is getting me down, yesterday, I took a small stroll around the block, and saw a plant turning red, anouncing the arrival of autumn, Andrea actually said she felt cheated out of a summer, I agree, you did well here mate, white plumage is not the easiest of things to get right...Nice image :)

Lovely capture Mick, I agree with Andrea that it looks like they are looking for something, makes for a very fun mood! Tropical storm Hanna is raging up the eastern coat of the US right now dropping buckets and buckets of water, strong winds and flash floods. Alex will have a bit of a rough go with it today and we will get some of the residual wind and rain. Seems as tho the weather has shifted for the worse for us all...wishing you sunshine tho!

I think the two ducks in the back are lookouts whilst the others make the grab. Great shot! And your counting skills are exemplary. I came up with the same numbers as you. :)

Hold on where's my calculator?! Yes you are right, four white ones and three dapple brown. Lol@ Tara, two lookouts. Same here with the weather Mick, dawn til dusk yesterday, I had to let about 100 gallons out of the pond, with what we've had over the last three days. Wednesday night we had two inches of water outside the front door, it came down so hard the drains couldn't cope with the deluge. Great picture, nice to see shadows on the swans, mainly because that means sun was out, for however short of period. Today so far has been brilliant sunshine for us. See you Tuesday I hope, going to the 25th aniversary of the Fire Service Museum tomorrow, rain is forcast but they are supposed to be having a few visiting appliances, so I will be going either way. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

Great little pic Mick as I always enjoy watching the ducks around here. Sorry about all that rain you've had this year. We have apparently joined you as of late with days and days of the stuff ourselves.

Any weather that does not change for a length of time is depressing. Here I get depressed when our sky is clear and blue for more than a week. I wait and watch for just one little puff of cloud to appear and it never does. Sigh... Your birds in water make me feel refreshed after our 100+ degree F temps this week.
