Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Well I'll gladly give you what I'm experiencing at the moment...the heavy rains and wind from tropical storm Hanna coming up the East Coast. What a miserable day it is. This capture is also one of my favorites. Love their giant leaves.

Does water drops appear unseemly to a dandelion and noble to a canna?

Have to agree with Awjay, we are in mid rainstorm at the momment here, at 17:00hrs the Sun was cracking the flags(paving stones) at 17:30 it was rain bouncing off them. I didna ken you had Scot's blood in ya veins Marilyn. Lol. Och ey the noo! Oh Sorry old gal, you was refering to the Canna Lily were you not? Silly me. Excellent capture, the water should be steaming, that colour is warm enough to burn your hands just touching it. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
