Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Very creative use, Marilyn. Don't think he'll mind...not after 10 years time.

I started with a 1956 Chevy truck V-8. You can find some modelling of it in my gallery. Your son was already in the short block and long block era by the time he got his so the idea that you could buy cheaper than you could build was well entrenched and junk engines only had core value to rebuilders. This is why my words fall on deaf ears today.

A silk purse out of a sow's ear indeed -- blow it up into a poster-sized shot and send it to him framed....I'm sure he'll appreciate it! Great shot of a great recycle!
