Description

This is another of my Native American designs, an image that started in apophysis two plus years ago and finished with much manipulation. I thought that it might be a good time to put it up. There is so much discord caused during political campaigns, that it seems we can't control our anger, our intolerance of other's views rises and we even lose friends in political debate. This is one reason that I do not affiliate myself with any party! Oh yeah I know I will catch flack over that statement but thats okay... Like me or not is your choice, but define it in human terms rather than political ones. Speak with your heart not your mind! I don't force my political (or lack thereof) views on anyone and I expect the same courtesy...In other words, just because someone else has a different point of view, don't kill the messenger! I recently gave my views on a political image that was offensive to me from a human (heart) standpoint and I did it in such a way as to leave no room for flames or hate. Someone else on that thread commented in an incendiary and vile manner that was totally uncalled for...and this person is an artist... I would suggest that if you don't like the post, refrain from commenting and move on... and to Renderosity that we have an edit or block button so that this sort of thing is not done. Just my opinion... From Wikipedia The term harmony derives from the Greek harmona, meaning "joint, agreement, concord" and that from the verb harmozo, "to fit together, to join" Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well. Mahatma Gandhi (Indian Philosopher, internationally esteemed for his doctrine of nonviolent protest, 1869-1948) If life isn't about human beings and living in harmony, then I don't know what it's about. Orlando Bloom (English Actor, b.1977) Thanks for looking and for previous comments! Again thank you for well wishes, all are so very appreciated.

It would be so easy to live in agreement and in harmony... Just respect the ideas of others! Unfortunately, this is not... See how many there are wars in the world! :( Your work is wonderful... I'm also fascinated by the stories of Native Americans! An affectionate hug :) mc

Beautiful image Lynn, I am not political at all but I will be voting this time because I believe that people are going to vote for some one for all the wrong reasons. I sent out an email with proof of what the 2 are for and against and got flack over it from a few over it. I will not vote for any one who is going to raise taxes and they will double. But like I said people are not seeing that.

Very nice Native American design :) To me harmony are differences that know how to respect individual space but it takes a whole lot of work for us humans to be in that space! It's one of the big disfunction of our culture. The Native Americans had a deep understanding of harmony and things were done with balance and connectedness, not power. Basing things on power is what got us into so much trouble as we completely forgot about 'all our relations'. We chose to build a world lacking a great deal of reverence because we chose to see things as separate which opens the door to fear and danger, power and struggles. Very sadly harmony has become a rare thing but I'd like to think that it's never too late to change our ways, life can be very flexible that way. A little openness, a little willingness, a lot of efforts and we could once again understand that we are all connected and that there is no threat in differences. There could be no harmony if all was alike for harmony is about the collective, it's the balance between different things. There would be nothing to learn and enrich our lives with if everything was the same and life would be very boring. Actually, without differences I don't think life could exist because it would have nothing to expand and there would be no creativity, how sad this would be.

Great work and message! I like the graphic pattern, though I don´t know anything about fractals. Unfortunately when you go into political discussion to state your opinion or interest (cause politics is ever about interests, not about wrong or right, good or evil), many lose the respect for the different opinion and start being unfair and harsh. You need a thick skin to enter the political arena, especially if you support views away from the mainstream. Just look at Gandhi or Martin Luther King and how some people "thanked" them for their violent free affords. I don´t understand why you got harsh comments, cause I stated a far more radical comment on that image. It´s very sad, that some people fear those who think different.

I really like this image, Lynn. Wonderful colours. As for the politics - art has always been a very powerful political tool, or even a weapon and in my opinion is best left to one side. I also think that an art site is not the best place to discuss politics.

Wonderful work, Lynn. Beautiful graphics.. al wrapped into strong political importances. It has some Sitting Bull to it.... Indian's was a wise people... The pale faces could have learned a lot of spiritualism from them..but nooo... get them drunk.. and steal their possession's instead.;) Ghandi was wise... if only people would have listened. Strong and powerfull work. I kinda think... Orelando Bloom says it all.:) Pretty much of my personal philosophy in this... Let you heart make the choice.. Let your consciousness, be you guide.+5

Beautiful! So nice to see you working on these again. And yes, that one image did rile the feathers of a few of us who flock together - lol. But, that tends to happen, especially during an election year. Personally, I agreed wholeheartedly with your comment - and those of a few others, though not all, obviously...

i`m afraid this is the world we live in and no matter what happens it will always be the same ,which personally i think is a shame .i myself am not political ,because at the end of the day whoever is in charge will not make a blind bit of difference except to change their own little world .take heart lynn that you do have friends from all over that actually do care and respect you and others and thats all that matters :o) mick
