Description

Ok, I hated the way the foto of my son's engine came out yesterday, it just didn't work, I should'nt have even posted it. So I played with it, and like this much better, and wow, if you get lucky, there just might the #3 on the way. I do get carried away at times, forgive me!! I don't think this is quite what he had in mind when he said he wanted to use this some day-- I emailed it to him, so he could see how inventive and clever his mom is!!

It already has some interesting innovations in the form of the indvidual stamped steel rocker arms with no collective shaft for them to run on. If you tip this thing over (and at this point it weighs 550 pounds minus about 40 for the intake manifold and another 40 or so for the exhaust manifolds.) you can see if it has four bolt main caps. You can also take the heads off and see if it has 2.02 inch intake valves. Right here if you look closely you can see it has five bolts heads around every cylinder with one shared with the next cylinder. It's iron it's not DOHC or SOHC and it isn't 32V but only 16. Mercedes won Indy not too long ago with pushrod engine like this showing the type isn't obsolete. It is not just found art but foundry art. Check the serial number to see if it was made at Tonowondah or Saginaw.

This is just gorgeous. The other had interest and comparison but this is bright, cheerful and very visually appealing.

Are those miniature dianthus (what we call 'pinks')...a miniature form of carnation?
