Description

The people a couple houses down from me have a lovely raised bed with all sorts of beautiful plants. Just the right height for a lazy photographer! :) They've seen me out there taking pictures, and they don't much care, so this wasn't a very risky shot. This is the flower stalk of a yucca plant. Sneak Factor = LOW

Not one of my favorite blossoms, but this is truly a gorgeous capture. I love the way the light shows through the petals.

It's an education being on this site, I am not one of the green fingered brigade, I am the first to admit I know nothing when it comes to plants. Useless information my head is crammed full of, but botanical information is at a very low threshold. I didn't even know Yukka's flowered, Pauline had one for years in the house, then suddenly it died for no apparent reason. So another thing learned today for me, thank you for that scrap of information. Now I see what I have been missing, a beautiful flower, expertly captured, wonderful lighting, result; an excellent image. Bravo!!!!!
