Description

I went out early one morning in spring and found this charming little purple (fungi) village at the base of a tree. Well, needless to say, the next morning it was totally gone, and slime tracks everywhere. It was either one very hungry slug or a small army of them...Sadly I have seen other fungi this year but no more of these pretty little purple ones. They measure about 1" tall and maybe 1/4" wide. Unknown why the tree is that odd color on the bark, bit I liked that and all the textures. Again thanks for all the well wishes, 2 days ago I started to eat solid food finally and thought I was on the mend, but today its back to nothing solid:-) I am real tired of this flu and cold stuff but doing what I have to, you know, lots of liquids, rest ect...they pulled the maintenance man to another property to work so there is no one to cover for me at the house so its rest in between work...

Great shot, Lynn. And very interesting enviroment and story. Too many slugs can be pretty nasty... but maybe they were just hungry i guess. Too bad it hit this fine fungi forest. Get well soon.#:o)+5
