My name is Tony Shaw and I have been working for a UK Bank since I left school in 1983. I have spent from 1990 working in their IT department as a software developer. With the threat of redundancy hanging over me next year, and having written a web-site for my Dad, I decided to train myself up in web and graphic design and as a result found Renderosity.
The graphic tools I'm using in my spare time are Adobe Photoshop, Bryce, Apophysis, Terragen and Vue ... I don't have any particular favourite as they all have their good and bad points.
I have not posted some of my very early works as they are quite basic and would not look out of place in comics, however I hope you will take time to browse through my gallery so far and any comments, whether good or bad will be greatly received as they will keep me motivated and hopefully improve my designs.
Happy rendering.

Ohh this is perfection Tone! Love the dramatic and doomed atmosphere this portrays. This is outstanding! Congrats again on the art chart rating! By the way, don't feel you have to comment on my art. I would rather know that you were working on your art, learning new things than commenting on my stuff. Sometimes the more the favorite artists lists grow the harder it becomes to keep up and then you are over your head. If we are here to learn a craft, learn more about art, we have to have the time to do it. Not only that, people who love your work won't mind if you don't comment theirs. And a lot of us post simply because it makes us feel great to have created something awesome! ;) Lea

Excellent work. Tony. I like the way you have merged the pics of the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the bridge crossing the River Thames...which I might add has wonderful movement. The space ships add the perfect 'invasion' look to the render.

Nice work, Tony although the sunny part looks too over-saturated for my taste, but that's just me. keep up the great work.
