This shot was taken last saturday and we are only aloud to take pic outside the mansion coz of confidentiality.The inside is beautiful and mysterious That u cannot explain.This is the popular tourist spot around the Bay Area.The people are eager to see and find Whats behind inside This mansion.Winchester Rifle was invented in this place,This was the most popular Rifle..Hope you like this pic not perfect shot but i tried my best to share this to you all..

What a fantastic shot! I saw a show on this a long time ago. I don't remember why she continued to build until she died, but it was definitely interesting how much she built.

That is very interesting and I didn't realize that there was a mansion still associated with the humble beginnings of the rifle.

Excellent shot of this beautiful and mysterious house. I saw a program about it a while ago and I heard that she believed she had to continue building to keep from being haunted! Creepy place, but I'd love to see it someday!

I've heard much of the story about this place. Sarah Winchester expanded and renovated the house continously for almost 40 years. It was 'designed' to confound spirits which Sarah Winchester believed would do her harm. The Winchester rifle is said to have killed many more aboriginal peoples in the American West than any other weapon. Sarah Winchester feared the vengeful spirits of these people who had been so wronged by her family's creation.
