Taken on the way into work this morning. I though it fitting given what anniversary it is today. Dark clouds on the horizon but glorious light and color beyond. "Cloud iridescence is a common phenomenon in which a cloud shows vivid unusual colors or an entire spectrum at once. They are formed from small water droplets of near uniform size. When the sun is properly positioned, mostly behind thick clouds, these thin clouds almost coherently diffract sunlight, and as a rainbow, different wavelengths are diffracted different amounts. I learned early, to always have a camera on hand. Great catch. Looks like a double rainbow too. From my house, I see a lot of Rainbows. This one is kind of unusual, being so high in the clouds.

An amazing sky not only for the very regular little clouds but for the color iridescence that you explained in your comment. Aside that, the greyscale palette is very nice. An image which deserves great honors.
