Description

this is in the market now and these six are only a small part of the 72 pictures of Texas and Oklahoma small towns. many historical buildings and picturesque architecture thanks for viewing and any comments. I am way behind in comments because I have went 3 days this week to parks in the DFW area that I never been to. took many pictures and will be posting soon the black car in the bottom right is my Corolla XRS. I replaced my FJCruiser with it so I could afford to drive around taking pictures

This is like going on a virtual vacation. :) These photos bring back memories of driving through various towns on my way from point A to point B of my vacations and seeing all the variety there is out there. I particularly like the one in the top middle. It reminds me a bit of downtown Norcross (which is where I live, just northeast of Atlanta). The great thing about these is how colorful they are. So many modern buildings begin to look the same, with the same glass and steel exterior. In contrast, the buildings in your photos have character and variety about them. Really nice 'you are there' montage. Thanks for sharing!

Small towns and quite, I cannot see anybody in view in any of these images Richard, plenty of vehicles around but no people. I guess it has its advantages though, no one to get in the way, no one to shout out 'What are you doing taking pictures' I don't know why they ask that as it is quite plain to see that, yes we are taking pictures, thats why we have this camera up to our eye. Excellent captures all Richard, I wonder if you did get challenged at all. Bravo!!!!!

Wonderful work, Richard. Looks like a cool product. Small towns are kinda romantic. Beautiful photos. Hope that nasty IKE dude don't slam you guys too hard... Seems he is showing his big ugly face to most of Texas atm. 1000 kilometers in diameter.. scary size. Best of luck.

Love this tribute to small town America. I have seen so many small towns turned into sprawling corporate controlled centers for mediocre existence. There is a profound sense of transcendent reality in these images. I, and many others in the Black Stone valley of Massachusetts, have fought to maintain the small town atmosphere in a growing corporate world. We have, at present, established a very workable balance. Your images, if you do not mind, are being shared with our historic society to preserve the heritage that is ours. Thank you Richard for these photos--excellent work!!!!!
