Description

Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well.. things have been a bit hectic at my end with finalising my accommodation for this coming year and I've been staying with a friend who doesn't have access to the internet so at best am going to manage to get on here the odd handful of times a week... I've had plenty of time to look through/edit a few more pics from France though, and as I said, they're in no particular order - this one comes from the afternoon of our second day, on the way down (whereas the Notre Dame one was 3/4 of the way into our return journey). I've been to Mont St Michel a couple of times before, but don't remember it ever being QUITE so busy before... we probably queued for a good 4 or so hours that day, getting in the place, out, and plodding up along the streets. And it wasn't really until we left that the light popped its head through the overcast clouds and made it worth attempting the photo I had in mind, which is pretty much what you see. Does it look straight to you? Found it very difficult to decide which parts should be straight as it's all the perspective and shot at an angle with a relatively wide angled lens... postwork apart from colour/contrast modifications etc I applied a watercolour filter and maybe something else somewhere along the line to try and give it a bit more of a 'fantasy/cartoony' type of feel.. Thanks for all the kind comments on my last post, I'll try my best to keep up as I can but will be involved in moving house at some point this week so pretty busy, but looking forward to seeing what you've all been coming up with! Cheers, Adam

This reminds me of the kinds of artworks that are possible using Bryce, except here it's real. Good job.

Great shot Adam, whatever post-work you have done has given it somewhat of an HDR feel which works well.

An amazing picture of a mountain I've also been to, touring from Eindhoven, the Netherlands to Avignon via Pamplona and San Sebastaian (wich I rather call Iruña and Donostía). Unlucky me had a grey day, and we only shot some common pics. This however is wonderful and I'm gonna get it in my favs and cherish it!!

A classic shot which I've seen hundreds of times, but it's never getting boring (that's why it is a classic...I guess). I think you did a great job with the reflection!. Thanks for sharing.

A real fairy tale looking piece mate, sorry for my absence, I have a rather nasty eye infection at the mo, and being as the other one is already quite knackered, been a bit rough on it monitor wise.
