a very fine photograph. The wiki article is interesting (the bldg is huge!) but your photo captures the power of the design, and also the natural irregularities of it which is one of the beauties of this style. (Full size a must! It blooms...) Nice symphony of grays & whites, mixed with that greenish roof overhead. I really like this photo. As always, nice work rozie.

An unusual, but very traditional historic design, Rozanne. Nice to know that it is still standing, with all the new buildings being pushed up all over the British maninland. I went through Liverpool in the train on the way to North Wales about 11 years ago, but did not see much that was this photogenic. I trust that you enjoyed your sojourn in the Lake District et alia.
