Description
Another map from the far reaches...this time topographical.
Since some asked: I use writing & symbols, but 'generic'--i.e., they're not a particular language. Saul Steinberg was the master of this, and to him I owe a deep bow.
Pencils & pen on paper; cleaned in PS.
Thanks for all your comments & favs: They're always greatly appreciated!
Peace to all,
Mark
(ps--it's my 30th image! It's not alot, but I never thought I'd reach it! Voila!)

Another superb one Mark! Love it because of the beauty in colors and composition, but also for the little ants in my head when I try to dechiffer it.LOL. Real and not real at the same time, love that!

Mark this is such a amazing idea and despite who originally came up with it I feel you have mastered it perfectly. Well congrats on 30 images also and I hope to see 30 more :)

One good one is a lot, 30 good works is the tops! I much admire these, this one especially, and the blue bits do it for me as a great detail.

Happy 30th! I hope you post many more. The more I stare at this the more faces, profiles I see. I guess no one sees a map in exactly the same way, but filtered through personal history, ideology, etc. Each of us could follow this same map and arrive at a different destination. This would be even better a bit larger to show all of the detail.
