My parents in law are over at the moment, from the UK to Germany. Until they arrived we had quit a great weather... But now its cold and rainy... They are going back today evening, maybe the summer is coming back... *rofl.. dont get me wrong, I love my parents in law, but I thing they are really unlucky with the weather.

Mick, Understand about the weather but look at all the beautiful shots full of green you get because of all that rain. Easy for me to say, right? Didn't notice your genre here but it probably needs to be "Atmosphere and Mood". Wishing you the return of bright days. Bill

Fortunately, even in Sicily came the rain... it was feared the drought after a long, hot and dry summer! Nice shot! :)

....a beautiful photo, which reflects the weather tendency! With us the weather is also not good more now - it has only 8° C ..... and it rains........ :-((

Seems like there's either too much or not enough rain--still, this is a peaceful foto!!

Don't worry about getting behind with comments Mick, I find it hard to keep up too but I have found that people on here don't penalise you for missing them out. As for the pic, you captured typical weather your title sums it up very well and I must say typical british landscape of nature close to the busy city life.

My brother and his lady are on a cruise in the Med, and the weather has been dull there too. I have to say I much prefer even this summer of ours to all the talk we hear of temps in the 90's. We'd just like a litle sun that's all! It's a lovely pic; up there on the motorway they probably never know how pretty it is underneath.

I wish I had a pound for every time I have driven over this very spot Mick, I used to go up and down the A19 every week. I used to have my breakfast at Hartlepool Steel Works every Thursday. Thats the very first place I had chips for my breakfast. Lol. Excellent capture, thanks for the memories. Bravo!!!!!

Great pic Mick and oddly enough this looks exactly like a area about 9 miles from my home. With our recent storms here the water is up

A great shot, Mick. The weather is just the same in Bay. I long for warmth and sunlight. We can only hope. Hugs. Di. xx

I can see how this weather might not help lift your spirits. :-) But then, we have such sunny, clear, no-rain weather for so many months on end here that it depresses me. What I'd give for rain...but, then, we are only a few weeks away from the beginning of our rainy season so maybe I should speak softly. Love this shot. Looks much like around here on the Sacramento River.

You don't sound like a Brit who is used to dreary skies, it sounds like you are really longing for some sunshine, Mick! Very nice color and lighting in this composition, in spite of the grey skies! Hope you get some pretty autumn sun soon!

Great image Mick and it sounds like your Summer has paralleled ours in the far North here. Not so much where I live, but 200 miles north of here has been wet all season. I have a feeling you will have a better Fall. Lets hope so my friend.
