Savanna my love I have good news. We got our orders we are moving out in the morning. I swear I have cleaned my gun ten times today. Eddie says if I’m not careful I’m going to rub a hole in my barrel. Eddie is one of the guys in my tent. He is from South Carolina. He’s a good guy but he does talk funny. As I am writing to you I am your boyfriend but I hope by the time you get this I will be your hero. You are my love Randy

Hello my love, I was happy to see your letter today I miss you so much. Do you know where you are moving to next. I worry so much not knowing where you are. I am glad you have a good friend in Eddie I feel better knowing that. You silly boy you have always been my hero. So please don't do anything crazy you don't need to prove anything to me.
