Description

Yesterday Andrea posted a beautiful red poppy, and explained that she often looks at her gallery to see what it needs. Like the color red, for example. I do that all the time. I look at my gallery and decide it needs a landscape, or a flower, or a portrait, or a specific color. Today I decided my gallery needed black plastic flamingos that were skeleton painted. Night of the living dead flamingos. Undead flamingos. Would you like to know what they're REALLY called? Skel-A-Mingos! I kid you not. Look it up on the web if you dare! Mwaaahaahaahaahaaaa! A couple days ago I came home and these were in my front yard, right next to the standard-issue pink plastic flamingo that my neighbor put up quite a while ago. I grabbed my camera and did a little flamingo photo shoot. Who wouldn't?? For those of you who remember what my yard looked like last Halloween after Lance got done decorating ... this is only the beginning! Enjoy! :) p.s. Choosing a genre was difficult, at best. Animals, Creatures, Gothic, Objects, Portraits, Surrealism, Horror, Humor, Weird ... there were just so many! Aaacckkkkkkk!!

I used to wander in the Arizona desert alot and would come up on the complete (or nearly complete) bones of cattle that didn't make it. I always wanted to pick them all up, clean them and then wire them upright in the front yard. But I figured the neighbors wouldn't like that much. LOL I adore these great garden treasures!

I hope Beachzz ordered them from this place: http://www.thepinkflamingo.com/product91.html As they seem to be the cheapest at $15.95. I saw them on one site for $29.99 reduced from $39.99, now that was a rip off. Excellent capture Tara, much better than the pictures in the online shops. Isn't he starting a bit early for Holloween, if it was round here they would be stolen especially out so early. Superb work, can't wait for his creation this year. Bravo!!!!!

Superb clarity in this capture of the Skel-A-Mingos, impatient for Halloween to arrive, just waiting for darkness when they come to life.
