In honor of Talk Like A Pirate Day, I finally got around to doing a render of my character from Iceshark39's roleplaying group, Dark Tides.

Marcus, a pirate born and bred, tried once to turn away from the dark side and live an honest life as a sailor in the Royal Navy. He found that lifestyle wasn't to his liking after witnessing the brutal treatment of his naval commander, and thus helped his pirate brethren to take that ship. Since then, it's been a pirate's life for him.
Often the consort to Anya Demtriov, Marcus is a charming rogue that fancies himself as a man of honor, despite being a pirate. Although... no one is perfect....
Probably how he ended up marooned in this image. Actually this started as two separate concept renders that I reworked into one final image. The originals being a character sketch of Marcus himself, the other of the marooned pirate wondering "Why is the rum always gone?" With Iceshark's encouragement, I decided to toss Marcus into the same situation. This is why you don't piss off Captain D'Marque!
Oh and for the record, I put the seagull yapping at Marcus in there in honor of Starling, who LOVES chasing seagulls. I believe the translation of what the bird is saying is... "MINE!"
