Description

So this is likely to be the last in this series...I have more but we are off to Scotland for a weeks break tomorrow. This as you can see I shot from the inside of one of the wrecks...shortly after which I ruined my favourite Nike trainers.Stood on what I thought was firm mud and my foot sank into some to black smelly oily sludge.I think it was worth it. Several people have asked about postwork etc.I shoot on my Nikon D200 in RAW and process the files through CS3. Interestingly there is in the CS3 RAW converter a little option called fill light, adjusting this really brings up the shadows hence the detail on the wood in the foreground. Most of the rest of the post work is dodging and burning with opacities set low and work until it looks like I want it.I also use the Sponge tool for selective saturation. It seems that not many people either use the sponge tool even know about it.I find that setting the opacity way down and gently working the area brings up some nice saturation on the image. So basically there is a lot of detail in jpegs that needs to be coaxed out of the image.

If there was a 10 rating I would give it to you. Splendid work and excellent shot. Just love the colours and the postwork! Never thought of using the Sponge tool on photos before, will try that as I too work with CS3. Enjoy your time in Scotland and bring some photos back. I hear it is a beautiful country. :)

All sides point to the main subject in a well defined way. A very incredible way to end this series for now. Gorgeous work and you really have a talent for this sort of postwork.
